City Junior B Football League Round 3
Pallaskenry 2 - 12, Ballinacurra Gaels 0 - 9.

We wrapped up our league campaign on Wednesday night with a hard fought win against Ballinacurra.
Missing a number of players from our panel, many of the younger players stepped into the team and performed well.
Right from the off we were moving the ball well from defence through midfield and creating plenty of scoring chances. Early scores from Ian Gibbs, Kevin Taylor & Ciarán Ryan settled us. However B'curra werekeeping in touch with breaks up field and taking their scores when they could. Mossie Sheehan, Brian Howard & Adrian Guerin playing strong in defence. A high ball into the square from Daniel Hannon resulted in the keeper palming the the ball up into the air and into roof of the net. Further points from Hannon and Lorcan Fitzgerald had us 1 - 7 to 0 - 4 ahead at the short whistle.

At half time we made a few changes, one with Mikey Keogh moving to full forward with Pa Dwyer going into goals. B'curra came out much stronger the second half and knocked over three quick points.
We slowly got into the game with Daniel Hannon & Lorcan Fitz winning some great ball in midfield and Ciarán Ryan bursting forward we started to knock over some good points and also converting frees that were won from great movements. Mikey Keogh was winning good ball at full forward and setting up the in rushing forwards, one such move resulting in an excellent finish to the net by Brian Barry. B'curra were still coming forward and with 2 great saves from Pa Dwyer and good defending by Jason Cahalane & Mike Delap we were able to restrict them to taking points when they were going for goals. Two further points by D Hannon wrapped up a good victory and place in League final.
