Patrickswell 1-9 Pallaskenry3-3
Playing into a very strong wind in the first half, Pallas started well but struggled to get the ball down the field. Patrickswell, a nice sharp-passing footballing side, went into the lead with a point after 3 minutes. By the 6th minute, they were 1-2 ahead. Apart from a few forays down the field, Pallas spent most of their time defending and perhaps gave the ball away too easily when they had possession. The Well hit 5 wides over the next 8 minutes before finding the target to score 5 more points by the 19th minute. On the stroke of half-time, Patrickswell's lead looked unassailable when a Patrickswell defender was penalised for picking the ball off the ground in the square. The penalty was duly converted in text-book manner by Darren Walsh.

The Well came back and scored 2 more points, one from a free, to put themselves back into a commading 6-point lead. In the 16th minute, Gearóid Nash went on an impressive run from his own half and put a long high ball into the goalmouth forKillian Mahon to fist into the net.

Peter Fitzgerald, who had an excellent game right half forward, runs for the ball with a Patrickswell defender.
Pallas had to defend again over the next few minutes with Marc Doyle and Colin Nash outstanding. In the last minute of the game, Chris MacMahon scored a goal from 25 metres with a long, high ball over the keeper's hands to send the Pallaskenry support into raptures.
