U12 FOOTBALLERS JUST FALL SHORT AGAINST THE 'WELL
U12 FOOTBALL LEAGUE
PALLASKENRY 2-7 PATRICKSWELL 2-8
We played Patrickswell Saturday evening last in Pallaskenry and it took us twenty minutes to get into to the game by which time we were 1-6 down. We failed to get on the scoresheet in the first half but were kept in the game by some fine defending including a penalty save from keeper Evin Kelly. Back we came in the second half with soe great displays throughout the team. We outplayed Patrickswell in the second half and outscored them by 2-7 to 1-2but unfortunately it wasn't enough. We had one final chance to win the game with a penalty and believing that we were two points down we went for goal only for the ball to come off the post and go wide. Well done to all the players and it could have beena different result had we played better in the first half.
Team: Evin Kelly, Mikey Nash, Martin Neville, Jack Heavnor-Cronin, Darren O'Connell (0-6), Jamie Fitz, Odhran Cuddihy, Mikey Heavnor, Alan Ryan (1-1), Sam Ross, Dylan Corrigan (0-1), Dylan Finan (1-0), Jason Barry, Christopher Callaghan, Eoin Holland, Darragh O'Brien, Patrick Lynch.

Well done to Darren O'Connell who played with the City Divisional National School Hurling Team in the Mackey Cup last week. They played the West Schools in the semi final and were cofortable winners on a scoreline of 2-12 to 1-3. It was a different story in the final though as they lost out to the East Schools by 3-3 to 0-5.
