Calling all underage hurling goalkeepers!!

This July there will be a special, specific workshop held for all underage goalkeepers in the city and county.

Do you want to be the next Brian Murray or Brendan Cummins??

Do you want to have that extra edge and be that next up and coming goalkeeper in the county??

Well for you this workshop is a must.

The workshop will take place in Old Christians GAA club grounds in Rathbane Limerick city and will be run over one day from 10.30am to 3pm.

During the workshop all the areas of goalkeeping will be looked at from shot stopping to puck outs and each player will receive top class advice from one of the top coaches in the game.

All participants (Boys & Girls welcome) will be also shown various drills and techniques in helping them to improve their game over the months and years ahead.

The workshop will be run by Limerick Coaching and Games and will be facilitated by Willie Banks, a Master Coaching Tutor who specialises in goalkeeper coaching and he will be ably assisted by Linerick Senior Hurling Goalkeeper Brian Murray. Willie has run many other successful similar workshops and has been involved in the coaching scene in Limerick for many years in particular with the Development Squads andAcademies. Brian will be on hand to share his many experiances between the sticks and will offer valuable advice to all particpants on the day.


All club coaches are invited to attend the workshop to observe and ask any questions on the day. The workshop will be free for all coaches who wish to attend and to observe on the day.

Dates: This Wednesday July 8th (For all under 12 Goalkeeprs)




Wednesday July 15th (For all under 14 Goalkeepers)


Venue: Old Christians GAA Club grounds, Rathbane.

Time: 10-30am to 3pm

Cost will be €10 per person and a T-shirt will be provided at the end of the day.

All attendees are asked to please bring a light packed lunch.
