DROM/BROADFORD 1-15 PALLASKENRY 5-05.
An injury time goal from Martin Nunan secured maximum points for Pallaskenry in their first under 15 game of this year's competition away to Dromcolligher-Broadford. Pallaskenry playing with the breeze in the first half led by 9 points at the interval thanks to two well taken goals from Paul Larkin and one each from Niall Maher and Darragh Walsh. Martin Nunan and Darragh Walsh also added a point to leave the half time score 4:2 to 0:5 in our favour.
We expected an improved second half performance from Drom-Brodford and that's what we got as they quickly whittled away at our lead. However 2 excellent points from Martin Nunan and a fabulous vollied one from Paul Larkin kept us in the game.Drom-Broadford lead by 1 point going into injury time but Martin Nunan won possesion in the square and somehow managed to get the ball in the net despite being surrounded by Drom-Broadford defenders.
Captain Paul Clarke had an excellent game at full back with younger brother David doing well at wing back. Dean Corrigan at corner back defended well throughout. Darragh Walsh, Martin Nunan, Niall Maher and Eoin Cuddihy all contributed positively to this victory in what was an excellent team performance. Paul Larkin had an excellent game at top of the left contributing 2:1 from play and having a say in some other scores also.
